You may remember you kindly advised me about Airedales a little while ago. This is just to tell you that after lots of thought I decided this is definitely the breed for me as I think I`m a bit like them in temperament!! I did contact David Brown but the timing was not good for me to take a puppy from him so I went to see Jokyl and they have agreed that I can have one of Jumping Jack Flash`s puppies in a couple of months, so I`m getting everything ready. We have just this week lost our beloved 13-year old airedale who has been our constant companion - as we are both retired. We are bereft.
We are too old to take on another puppy but wonder if we could find a retired dam who would love a wonderful home on Exmoor. Jake had three walks a day since we retired here and is already being missed by the village. Letters of condolence flood in - it is so well known how much we loved him.

Hello Isabel and Rodney, just read the sad news about Annie, so sorry to hear you have lost her,we can sympathise cos we've been there too with our beloved Ben, Kevin and Ingela, not forgetting our lovely Sandy who was our first dog though not an airedale, he was just as precious. Annie had a wonderful home with you both and Winnie, Webster and Martha too and she will always be there in spirit, they don't leave I can assure you!!

my name is enid sharp and i have an airdale pup who i believe is related to your dogs winnie, webster and annie.
winnies grand parents are my dog sorrento scorch ( callie ) great great grandparents.
i found that very interesting, so i just thought that i would get in touch .
i would also like to know how i can get in to showing my dog as she has got a really good pedigree and thought that i would try to keep up with all the champions that she has in her famillyby showing her.
as we are up in scotland and airdales seem to be few and far between i do not know how to get started in showing . do you have any information for me?

Hi Isabel and Rodney - just a note to say thank you for such an excellent day on Sunday at Stonham Barns. It was fantastic to meet so many other Airedales and their owners. It must have taken a lot of organisation on your part - but we got so much out of it - lots of good advice - and Woody had a wonderful time. A really good site. We are recent Airedale owners and attend the grooming and ringcraft sessions at the Airedale Terrier Training Club of Rushmore.
We were also thinking of a playmate for our Airedale and my husband did have a Welsh Terrier in mind seeing as they were so similar. We would be interested to know how they all get along with each other and if they have the same temprement.
